Austin Area Chapter responds to the needs of nurses and health practitioners during health crisis.

Hi everyone,

We hope you and your loved ones are safe and well during this health crisis.

Due to Covid-19, the regional meeting scheduled for May 2020 has been postponed for now.  We’re looking at future dates.

In the meantime, we’ve been busy, busy, busy working on free virtual event offerings.

First up is The Recognizing and Integrating the Healing Power of Resilience Virtual Webinar Series.

We’ve all heard and told stories of resilience, but what exactly is it?

Until now, we have not had Principles to fully explain resilience. It is not about personal attributes or willpower. It goes deeper than that. Resilience is about the Power of Thought.

The Principles of Resilience establish psychological experience as not being bound by circumstances or the past. As our understanding of the Principles of Resilience deepens, we naturally incorporate this into patient care.

Each webinar qualifies for 1 free CE.  Go to the EVENTS section of the website for more details and to register.

Next is the Tuesday April 28th Monthly Chapter Meeting which has been combined with the webinar series.  More info on the website.  This also qualifies for 1 free CE.

The weekly Virtual Holistic Nurse-Led Healing Circles: Self-Healing During Times of Crisis & Beyond are also posted on the website with registration links.

Healing Circles help us step out of ordinary time into a safe and accepting environment in which each of us can explore our own healing.

Healing Circles are places where we speak with intentionand listen with attention. We speak the truth from our heart to begin our self-healing process.

The Compassion Caravan is now offering free Virtual Support for Nurses and Healthcare Providers.  This  includes You-Tube videos and  Zoom Virtual “Compassionate Listening Circles".

The intent of these circles is to offer Compassionate Heart-Center places for nurses and other healthcare workers to be heard, to offer connection, to be fully present for others and to embrace common humanity. For more information and to register for their events, visit The Compassion Caravan website

These events are open to all members of the Austin Area Chapter website.  You don't need to be a paid member of AHNA to attend.  Our Chapter is open to all health practitioners interested in a holistic practice with a nursing edge.

AHNA welcomes you to explore their membership benefits.
