Holistic Nurses/Nurse Coaches are Leading with Resilience Principles

(1) Free CE
Speakers: Lyn McCright and Teresa Walding
Chapter Co-Leaders, Austin Area Chapter

Until now, there has not been a paradigm to fully explain resilience. It is not about personal attributes or willpower. It goes deeper than that. Resilience is about the power of thought. The Resilience Principles establish psychological experience as not being bound by circumstances or the past. As our understanding of the principles of resilience deepens, we naturally incorporate this into patient care. We can never come to the end of learning about life. Our mind becomes quiet as a side effect. Our lives evolve with an ever-deepening meaning and sense of purpose.

Objectives:

  • Recognize how resilience develops properties of physical and psychological healing
  • Identify the single most important factor that seems to limit resilience
  • Demonstrate the efficacy of insight-based learning
