Welcome to Our New Austin Area Chapter of the American Holistic Nurses Association Website.

Posted over 5 years ago by Susan Rinkus Farrell

With great excitement, we are announcing the launch of our new Chapter website.

You may have noticed that our name has changed from the Central Texas Chapter to the Austin Area Chapter.

Over the past few years, our membership has grown, and the new Chapter name reflects many of the changes that we’re excited to share with you.

You don't need to live in Austin or Texas, be a nurse, or even a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association to follow our Chapter website.

We created this website to serve as a collaborative resource for all nurses, and health and wellness professionals, interested in learning more about holistic nursing.

Some of our offerings include:

  • Keeping you informed about holistic local, regional and national news and events.
  • Holding monthly Chapter meetings via Zoom.
  • Posting video and podcasts on a variety of holistic-related topics.
  • Providing continuing education credits.
  • Holding space for virtual healing circles.
  • And much more!

We've also gone social!

Join our Facebook group, and follow us on our Facebook Page, Twitter, LinkedIn, and InstagramThey're all a work-in-progress.

In an effort to provide our members and followers with the best possible tools, resources, and web-based technology, we have chosen Nursing Network to power our group website. They are the largest provider of web-based services to nursing groups in the U.S.

This means that we are a part of a much larger community of nursing groups nationwide, with a common goal of working together to create a more unified and powerful nurse voice as a profession.

With our new website, we can communicate and connect to other nurses and nursing organizations.  Our website creates a channel of communication from our group to each of our members.

We thank Andrew Keller and his team, Dan Cohen and Lisa Roarke, at the Nursing Network for their dedication and support in developing the new Austin Area Chapter website.

We welcome you to our new website and invite you to join AHNA and network with your fellow colleagues via this website, our Facebook group, and virtual and local meetings.

This is our website to grow as we need in order to meet our members’ needs.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Let's celebrate 2020 The Year of the Nurse and Midwife!
